The background of this song was written around
the time of the Jewish High Holy Days,
which are Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah,
it's sort of the New Year time.
And the idea at those times
is that the Jewish people,
as a people,
come together
and in a sense ask God to forgive all the bad
things we've done over the past year
and we promise to do
better in the next year.
So let's let's give this a try
