[Verse 1] [F]There was an old man, [C]old man, [F]old man, There was an old man who [C]had grown so [F]old. He walked around limping, [C]limping, [F]limping, He walked around limping with [C]his crooked [F]leg. There was a young man, [C]young boy, [F]young boy. There was a young boy, [C]too naughty for [F]words. He laughed at the old man, [C]old man, [F]old man. He laughed at the old man till he [C]turned into a [F]cat. Have you ever noticed how [C]very different each one of [F]us is? In the way we look, the way we talk, walk, [C]laugh and [F]sing? These differences are the things that make each and [C]every one of us so special. [F]Well, some people don't realize that. Once there was a young boy who lived with his mother and father in a small town. The [C]boy was very, [F]very naughty, naughtier than anyone you've ever seen. [C]If he saw [F]someone with cross eyes or a very short upper lip, he would laugh at them. He [C]would laugh until the other person [F]got embarrassed or angry or so upset that they burst out [C]crying. [F]One day he saw a girl with only two fingers on one hand. [C]The boy laughed [F]so much that he could not even eat his supper that night. His [C]parents told him [F]over and over that it was not right to laugh at other people just because [C]they are different. [F]They told him that everyone is special and beautiful in their [C]own [F]way. Do you think the naughty naughty boy listened to them? No, [C]he continued laughing [F]at other people. til one afternoon he was walking with his [C]mother to the train [F]station, when he saw an old man with one short, [C]crooked leg. The old [F]man carried a bag and he was rushing for the train. The boy [C]thought he looked very funny, [F]as he tried to run to catch the train. The boy laughed [C]and laughed. [F]He rolled on the platform holding his stomach, Ha! [C]Pour it together old man. [F]And he loved some more! His [C]mother was embarrassed. Other [F]people at the station were shocked. Well, well what do you know? [C]Right there in [F]front of everybody the boy turned into a cat. [C]Yes, a big, [F]fat, brown and ugly cat with five legs. And [C]his eyes were a dirty [F]green. His ears were long and there were fingers growing at [C]the top of them. [F]He was a horrible looking cat and no one wanted anything to do with [C]him. Embarrassed [F]and sad, the big, fat, brown cat with five legs [C]ran away. His dirty [F]green eyes filled with tears and the fingers at the end of his ears were [C]waving goodbye. [F]His mother was very sad. [C]After some months, [F]people say that his heart changed a lot. Eventually, he changed back into his old body and went home to his family. He became [C]very nice to [F]everyone, no matter how different they looked. If he [C]saw a crooked old per[F]son carrying big bags trying to catch a bus, he went and offered to [C]help them. [F]When he saw other children fighting, he went and talked them into being friends [C]again. [F]But he was especially nice to funny -looking cats [C]on the roadside.[F] [C][F] Se þi kexa, i [C]kexa, i [F]kexa Wali se þi kexa, wapendu [C]gi ka [F]tili
