[Verse 1] [Em]I have lived life until now to the height of enjoyment My physical body accompanied by a conscious mind Endless desires swirl outside of me HE is also taking me along his cosmic path giving me experience of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and feeling I feel content while sleeping, crying, laughing, eating and drinking Day and night I think that there must be some purpose [G]to this life I have come to understand joy [A]and sorrow due to lust, anger, greed, [Am]attachment [G]and ego I have started to think about what [A]is the characteristic won't of [Am]life and about [A]what is [C#m]the uncharacteristic wo[C]n't of li[Am]fe, [Bm]About what is bene[G]volent use o[Am]f mi[A]nd [G]and word [Em]s and wh[D]at is [Bm]harmful[Em] use of mind and words And about what is sin and what is virtue Thus no more desire or expectation for past, present or future [G]remains with me [A]My mind has gone bey[G]ond past, present and future and [A]beyond the rational intellect [C#m]of imagination[C#dim][C] I [Am]see [Bm]that I am [G]bey[Em]ond b[Am]irth and death and [D]am enjoying [Em]mind in a state of samadhi [Verse 2] PS [Em]: I found this translation n a forum. Here is what the guy said : [Verse 3] An [Em]Indian friend of mine recently translated Chetan Jeevan (Conscious Life) for me and I thought I would share this in case other people are [G]interested. My friend doesn't speak very good English so [A]I've had to piece [Em]this [G]together quite a bit. I'm sure it's more [A]eloquent in its'[Am]original [A]form [C#m]and if[C] anyone ca[Am]n hel[Bm]p with a[Em] truer tra[C]nsl[Am]ation th[D]en please fe[Em]el free! I use the definitions given by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti- ji for Dharma and Satya but realise that Hindu and Buddhist definitions are various and differ. With respect, Shriila' X
