[G]Jeremy and I played together early on, if you can call it playing! We had fun. Since this song was written to be a duet, we thought it would [A]be great to sing [D]with Jeremy again. And so we did. [A]Jeremy changed the lyrics slightly on the bridge (artistic license, I suppose), but it came out rather [G]well. He also dreamt up the great background vocals!

'Digging Deep' is a [G]song focused on reaching out to others, that is, with the Gospel. [D]It [A]is frightening. It is difficult. It is unnerving to put yourself 'out-on-a-limb' so so [G]so much, but it is absolutely the calling of our Lord! There are times, however,
when we don't heed the Word of God [A]and [D]we 'won't' share with someone... it could be that a see[A]d will never be planted in them. This song ends with the first verse (again), but the[G] idea is that this time we are going to follow through... though we [D]are scared.
