The hor[Bb]rible insects congregated above the Durschfuch ele[C]mentary school and would spend an indecent amount of time [Bb]circling the [C]playground. The citizens of the village were very alarmed [C]by these new vis[Bb]itors, but since they were a G[C]od fearing c[F]ommunity and[Bb] were not allowed [F]to bring any harm to any of God's crea[Bb]tions, they had to pretend to ignore the l[Bb]arge grotesque arthropods and continue o[Bb]n with their lives as [C]if there weren't a[F]ny menacing predators [C]swooping over [F]their offspring. I[Bb]n time the hyena cicadas becam[C]e hungry and this in when the real terror ensue[F]d. As I [G]sta[G]ted ea[C]rlier, the adults of the village, thought the be st cours[Bb]e of action was to pretend the [G]insects didn't[C] exist and con[Bb]tinued to send the children [F]out to the playground for recess. Every day the same thing o[Bb]ccurred; the[C] children would stand ap prehensively [Bb]at the threshold of the front gate until the teachers ordered them outside to "play",
[C]then the children would run terrified to[Bb]wards the shelter [C]of the banyan trees that formed an [F]oval [Bb]around the perimeter [C]of the school yard. There they would spend the dura[Bb]tion of recess huddling together under [C]the trees, [F]shaking [Bb]with [C]fear. [G]For[G] th[Bb]e first few wee[F]ks the children managed ea[Bb]ch day to narrowly cheat death by hiding below the tre[C]es. Eventually t[F]he hyena cicad[Bb]as became [F]mad with hunger [C]and resolved to become more aggressive in their attempt to eat the chi[Bb]ldren. One of the more i[C]ntelligent c[Bb]icadas, who happen[C]ed to be t[F]he most famished of all [C]of them, had the ide[F]a that some of the flock should [C]hide among the foliage of the banyan trees while the others swooped over the chi[F]ldren as usual. [Bb]Then when all of the[C] children were in their normal positions under the trees, the hy[C]ena cicadas [Bb]hiding in the [C]branches would descend upon them and kill th[Bb]em. After th[C]at all of the flonkc[Bb]ould gather under the trees for a deliciou[C]s feast. His plan worked perfectly and the adults of the[Bb] village watched helples[C]sly as the hyena cicadas ravenou[Bb]sly devour[F]ed their beloved young o[C]nes
